I'll dominate 'credible combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the two fighters met personally to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Ex two time unified heavyweight champion Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth disparity - at Miami arena on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I plan to damage his features and hurt his body. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will really want to injure him. That's my intention."

Civil Interaction

Despite such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually known for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul instead criticized ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK rival Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, regularly earning substantial financial rewards.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would stop the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.

Physical Disparity

As the two fighters engaged in the customary face-off, with their size difference evident, it drove home just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the match is really going ahead.
